I first started practicing yoga in the early 2000's and my practice consisted mostly of a home-based practice while my children were small. In 2015, I was introduced to Buti Yoga and my world changed immediately. Through Buti, I found self-acceptance, confidence, connection, creativity, and individuality. In Buti Yoga, we draw on Primal energy and movement to nurture our bodies and thrive. Buti is unwavering in its commitment to support connection among students. After falling in love with the practice and philosophy of Buti, I felt compelled to share the magic of Buti with others. I certified August of 2017 and started teaching Buti Yoga in October 2017 at Glow Yoga in Clayton, NC. After certifying as a Buti Yoga instructor in 2017, I completed my 200-hour registered yoga teacher certification with Pro-Power Yoga in 2018. My 200-hour training consisted of extensive training in yoga techniques, teaching methodology, practicum, anatomy & physiology, yoga philosophy, lifestyle, and meditation. Since completing my 200 hour, my love for sharing all types of yoga expanded. I am certified to teach Deep by Buti Yoga (2019), Buti Sculpt and Buti Bands (2022), Yin (2022), Restorative (2022) and I am pursuing my 500 hour. Although I love teaching other formats, my first and true love is Buti Yoga. I love the freedom of movement, music, surrender and bliss of the Buti Practice. It truly is “movement medicine,” as it balances me in every way possible – physically, spiritually, and mentally. Sharing Buti brings me so much joy. I love engaging, challenging and empowering my students and encouraging them to “leave it all on the mat.” I love seeing the connection among the students and the blossoming self-love. Not only do I enjoy sharing Buti with students for their benefit, teaching Yoga and Buti is my passion that gives me a sense of individuality apart from being a wife, mother, daughter and employee. To me yoga, allows you to let your inner light shine.
